Winnipeg: Global Climate Strike

To reduce long-term impacts of rising temperatures and stay below a 1.5C increase, Manitoba needs to reduce emissions by 45% by 2030. It is critical that all levels of government create and implement a plan for a Just Transition that prioritizes climate in all decisions. This must occur in conjunction with improving social equity and ensuring that no one is left behind.
There will be singing, speaches, and opportunities for further action. Water and hot chocolate will be available. School bus parking is available in and around the Manitoba Legislative grounds.
